Geometric paint ideas

Be inspired with some geometric wall

To create a painted wall with a geometric pattern, here are some steps to follow:

1. Wall Preparation: Ensure that the wall surface is clean, smooth, and free of dust. If necessary, lightly sand the wall to smooth out imperfections and apply a coat of primer if the wall is new or if the previous paint is dull or flaking.

2. Color Selection: Select the paint colors you want to use for your geometric pattern. Make sure the colors complement each other well and create an interesting visual contrast. You can use two or more colors according to your preference.

Plan and analyse your future wall

3. Pattern Planning: Before starting to paint, draw your geometric pattern on the wall using a pencil and a level to ensure that the lines are straight and balanced. You can choose from a variety of geometric patterns such as triangles, diamonds, squares, hexagons, etc.

4. Base Painting: Begin by painting the wall with the base color of your choice. Ensure that the paint is evenly distributed across the entire wall surface. Let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.

5. Geometric Pattern Creation: Use masking tape to outline the different sections of your geometric pattern. Make sure to press firmly on the tape to avoid paint bleeding. You can use pre-cut masking shapes or create your own shapes using adhesive tape.

6. Pattern Painting: Once the masking tape is in place, paint the sections of your geometric pattern with the chosen colors. Be sure to paint carefully up to the edge of the masking tape to achieve clean and precise lines. Let the paint dry for a few hours before gently removing the masking tape.

7. Finishing: Once the paint is completely dry, inspect the wall for any necessary touch-ups. You can also apply a coat of clear varnish to protect the paint and give a finished look to your geometric wall.

8. Cleaning: Clean your brushes and rollers with warm water and soap. Remove the masking tape carefully to avoid damaging the fresh paint.

By following these steps, you should be able to create a stunning painted wall with a geometric pattern that will add an artistic and modern touch to your space.
